For those of you who live in Ventura County, you may know that on January 1, 2010, Geoff Dean will be our new Sheriff. After months of campaigns, fundraisers, speeches, and posting those little signs on every other lawn…. He is our new Sheriff.

I got the chance to meet Geoff last Saturday at a celebration for his recent win. Held in the gorgeously landscaped back yard of George Erb’s home, Dean was surrounded by around 90 of his supporters, family and friends. With food provided by Ottavio’s, a low-key 5 person band in the background, and of course myself providing the beer, it was a great evening. The mood light and celebratory, definitely a well deserved night of fun and good company after the long campaign season.

It was a pleasure for JJ’s to be contacted for such an event, and a personal pleasure of mine to meet Geoff Dean who often comes into JJ Brewskys. A heartfelt congratulations to the new Sheriff Elect Geoff Dean!
